Movement and wellness expert Fran Siebrits is dedicated to assisting clients in their journey toward optimum health and wellness. In a supportive atmosphere she inspires growth, change and well-being through movement.

Alongside international retreats and pilgrimages, Fran’s Shala offers a boutique home-studio experience situated in the beautiful Overstrand village of De Kelders, Gansbaai (a short drive from Hermanus), in the Western Cape of South Africa, offering retreats, massages, fascia release, ceremonies, and movement classes (yoga, pilates, rebounding).

You can expect small classes for optimal individual attention at her home studio. But if you can’t join in-person, we have an online variety of recorded classes available, as well as personal development courses.

RATES + PACKAGES

Rates for group classes:

  • R180 single drop-in class
  • R600 up to 4 classes/month
  • R1120 up to 8 classes/month
    *R20 mat rental/class (or bring your own)

Duration of classes:

  • Rebounding classes are 50 min
  • Pilates classes are 50 min
  • Yoga classes are 60 min
    (including asana, pranayama & meditation)

Massage rates: R700 for 60 min / R900 for 90 min

Our Philosophy

We value quality over quantity, which is why we focus on small group classes ( and private sessions on request). This personalised approach means you get all the attention from your instructor, making sure you are in good form, well aligned and safe.

Whether your movement is strong or gentle, it should can come from a centred and connected space. We aim to deepen the body-mind connection through movement that is mindful and free of tension.

We believe that we find and maintain well-being through movement, learning from a regular movement practice how to manage our lives from a healthy connection to our body and mind.

Our Classes

Correct and regular stimulation of the neuro-muscular system (with practices like Yoga, Pilates and Rebounding) will bring precision, stability and correct movement patterns into your body. Your daily life will soon begin to take shape from your practice, creating a sense of ease from a stronger body and mind awareness.

HOW WE BEGAN…

Our humble beginnings as a boutique movement studio in the heart of Stellenbosch, South Africa, soon grew to be two studios. We then moved into the virtual space, and during the recent pandemic still continued with our Online Studio. We have not looked back since making this transition from in-person to online; no matter where in world you may be, you can still access our virtual studio.

We have relocated to a home-boutique studio in the beautiful Overstrand village of De Kelders, Gansbaai (a short drive from Hermanus).

For many year we offered a Mobile In-Person Studio in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Strand. This service is still available in the Overstrand areas of Gansbaai, Hermanus, Pearly Beach and Stanford.

Certified, mindful instruction is offered to create an inviting, calm environment. Years of training, continuing education and teaching have made us the dedicated professionals we are, able to give you a quality experience with every class.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

Due to the small number of people per class,
the “open level” is easily adjustable for individuals.

All classes include beginner-friendly modifications,
and have optional challenges for advancing practitioners.

FREE ONLINE CLASS

Enjoy this 10 minute WORK-BREAK movement class.

This standing sequence is suitable for everyone; you don’t even need a mat.

MEET FRAN…

Yoga Teacher | Yoga Teacher Trainer | Pilates Instructor | Rebounding Instructor | Massage Therapist

Fran is fascinated by human movement. She has trained in numerous body and mind techniques to better understand our human ways. As an experienced and skilled practitioner and teacher, Fran has a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of anatomy and movement mechanics.

Among others, her qualifications include BASI Mat Pilates, CME Equipment Pilates, Advanced 500hr Yoga, Pre-& Post-Natal Yoga and Pilates, Budokon Yoga, Aerial Movement, Fascia Release and Trigger Point Therapy, Massage Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation Training, Breath-work, Sleep and Dream Consciousness Training, Sports Nutrition, & Endurance Running Training.

Fran is passionate about teaching, is continuously learning, and remains inspired with creative strategies to improve the experience of her clients. She offers specialised classes in mindful movement, athletic performance, pre-& post-natal, rehabilitation, group exercise, as well as mentorship programmes, wellness programmes, health consultations, sleep and dream coaching, personal transformation, women’s support,  retreats and yoga teacher trainings.
