WHY 108?

When you do 108 sun salutations (surya namaskar) you are making an offering to your higher truth. This “yoga mala” pays homage to your spiritual journey, giving you strength and patience to guide your way on.

“1” represents your higher truth.
“0” represents ’emptiness’, i.e. completeness in spiritual practice.
“8” represents infinity or eternity.
Therefore having honoured the sacred number 108, one can rest in the completeness of one’s higher truth for eternity!
